After a trekking of about 5 km from Chopta, we arrive in Tungnath Temple, which is one of the Panch Kedars dedicated to Lord Shiva and is the highest Shiva temple in the world.

Chandrashila Peak: 360-Digry Himalaya view

Chandrashila Peak comes after a standing climb of about 1.5 km ahead of Tungnath, from where the entire Himalayas are visible. This place is considered to be the most famous for seeing sunrise and sunset.

Rishikesh To Sari/Chopta

Departure Time: 7:00 am - Start your journey from Rishikesh. Root: Rishikesh → Devprayag → Srinagar → Rudraprayag → Ukhimath → Sara/Chopta. Total distance: 190 km Estimated travel time: 6-7 hours The main attraction during the journey: Devprayag: During the journey, do a small stop in Devprayag and look at the confluence of the Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers, from where the Holy Ganges River originates. This place is famous for its religious and natural beauty. Here you can also see the ancient Raghunath Temple, which is a symbol of the historical heritage of this region. Srinagar: This small city, situated on the banks of the Alaknanda River, is known for its peace and beauty. Traditional Garhwali handicrafts and local products can be seen in local markets here. Rudraprayag: This place is famous for the confluence of Mandakini and Alaknanda rivers. The greenery and calm environment for nature lovers is no less than a heaven. Rudraprayag Mahadev Temple is the main religious place here. Lunch: Around 12:00 pm, take rest for food in Rudraprayag or Srinagar. Morning beginning: 6:00 AM - Start the day with a nutritious breakfast in your guesthouse. 7:00 AM - Do a picturesque 30 -minute drive (7 km) from Sara to Chopta, which is the base camp of the trek. Trek Highlights: 8:00 AM - Start climbing for Tungnath Temple (3.5 km). Height: 3,680 m Trekking time: About 2-3 hours, with the jungles of Burhans and mesmerizing scenes on the way. 11:00 AM - Proceed to Chandrashila Summit (4,000 m), which is a 1.5 km standing climb and provides a 360 ° panic view of the Himalayas. Return travel: 1:00 PM - Start getting back to Chopta to return. 2:00 PM - Enjoy delicious lunch in a local restaurant in Chopta. 3:00 PM - Drive the whole village back or choose another night stay in Chopta.
